The Next Step in Fighting False Terror-The Thought Police

Homeland Security tests system which knows when you’re even thinking about committing a crime

The Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST) security programme is designed to catch people who are planning to carry out acts of terror. This system  measures physiological factors such as heart rates and eye movements.  So anyone thinking about committing an act of terror or maybe even someone who is nervous about flying could be in a whole lot of trouble when passing through an airport.

Trials of this new technology have already been carried out by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in a secret area of North-eastern America. This system does not require active questioning of anyone. The technology relies on non-contact sensors, so can measure indicators while somebody is walking along.

So just how accurate is this new system? The DHS claims accuracy rates of around 70% in lab tests though they are still analysing results and are planning further tests.

But psychologist Tom Ormerod, of Lancaster University in Britain, says this role-playing may not be representative of real terrorists.

He has also suggested people will react differently when they know they are being tested.

The potential for the abuse of this technology is huge. The mere thought of arresting someone for thought crime is an affront to the justice system. Out will go innocent until proven guilty to be replaced with guilty of thought crime. Make no mistake we are fast becoming a police state. Many of us are already nervous wrecks when it comes to flying. Not only have we got to contend with the fear of flying but also with these degrading naked body scanners along with the uncomfortable and humiliating pat-downs. Don’t count on this new technology being a replacement for these scanners and pat-downs. I believe that we are put through these scanners not so that they can catch terrorists but to get us used to humiliation. The future that we are facing is the bleak future portrayed in the film 1984. I would recommend that anyone who has not seen this film should watch it so they can get an idea where this new technology is taking us. The future will see us being no more than slaves to the elites. Anyone trying to protest or disagree with those that rule over us could find themselves being the next victim of the thought police.

I have to say this is some of the most disturbing technology that has emerged out of the entire “homeland security” industry. I’d rather not have cameras watching me and attempting to read my thoughts while assembling a psychological profile, off of which they might falsely accuse or arrest me of a crime I never even committed.
