How can judgement be made in the reasoning to own a gun when

“Law enforcement agencies do not collect information on the number of times civilians use firearms to defend themselves or their property against attack. Such data have been collected in household surveys.”

It seems this would be important data to collect for clear and concise judgement in determining the need for citizens to own guns.

Another elephant in the government rooms .
