The manuscript for my book “American Epitaph” was finished originally in 2008. Initially, it was an exercise to cleanse my own psyche of seven years of intense research which began after 9/11.

That event was my first peek behind the veil, and I became determined to understand the truth about my country and its relationship to the world.

Most importantly I needed to know where it was headed now that the control paradigm had been exposed.

Back in 2008, people would ask me if my book was fiction or not. Of course I thought at the time it was completely fictional.

A book about a contemporary version of the American Revolution and in some respects the collapse of modernity itself taking place a few years down the road, from the fallout of the economic collapse to geopolitical moves seemed wholly fictional.

But here we are in 2011 and it is not really fiction any longer.

When the OWS movement began that was the last straw. I knew I had something that needed to be shared, not only with the Occupation effort itself nationally, but with every American I could reach.

It speaks volumes for the movement and who we are. It explains through two interconnecting and increasingly plausible storylines why we are doing what we are doing.

After its publication as an eBook I have spent countless hours trying to spread it around within the movement.

I emailed literally hundreds of Occupy sites from cities spanning the entire United States and Canada because I believe it is a poster child piece of literature for our generation, era, and revolution. If our grandchildren want to know where our head was at in this time they could pick up my book and get a perfectly clear idea.

Then I realized it could become of even more value to the cause. I could use it to help raise money for the movement. These people who are out there camping in tents through these weather conditions, in this kind of political climate, and facing the police state are heroes in my humble opinion.

Occupy Seattle is closest to me but these patriots are being routed out by the big boys all over the country.

In fact, within moments Occupy Los Angeles is going to come under some serious resistance as the state government has decided to “evict” them.

The establishment literally has the money printing machines in their offices. Their disinformation, PR, and smear campaigns are ruthless and will continue to intensify. Our Occupy Camps need funding and I need to help.

So, I am determined to get my eBook in front of all the people I can and spread my message. They can read an important novel about our times and fund a revolution at the same time.

I am going to buy them blankets, food, clothing, heat generators, art supplies for signs, etc. I believe in my work, and if it can bring in enough, I would like to be able to buy them adequate legal representation, and everything else they need to be successful.

This money would be clean grassroots money, not dripping with political/private interest and corruption. From there, the sky is the limit. I would basically spread out and send money to as many Occupy groups as could be afforded. That is the plan.

The book is inexpensive at $2.99 and I would like to be able to donate at least 50% of every dollar I make.

Why is it not free? It is not because I am a poster child for this collapse of my country, the epitome of the 99% that’s why.

I am 32 years old, a college graduate in 2007, and as I write this I live in a cross-generational one-bedroom apartment.

My mother, who is 78 years old, is supporting her youngest and oldest son. My brother and I have not been able to make any money since 2008.

First went the family home. Then the three-bedroom turned into one, and I sleep on the floor every night now and my clothes are falling apart.

We used to be a middle class family and now we are one step away from the worst case scenario.

I have no job and no potential work and neither does my nearly 60 year old brother. All I have is my writing; it is pretty much our only hope.

I want to give 50% to the movement, which is trying to repair our union, and 50% to me and my family to try and save us.

It is wrong that my mother at 78 is still working, let alone being forced to take care of her grown sons. She will not last much longer, and if/when she loses her job, if nothing changes, we are all going to be on the street.

Buying this book will give you a look into where we are, and where we are headed if nothing changes. It will also help fund a movement trying to take back America and it will assist an American family that has been here since the original colonies, a part of the 99%, who are severely on the ropes.

    I have been very concerned about the Infiltrators of the OWS efforts (eg: George Soros and bandwagon cohorts). I will not support any efforts with Communist/Marxist/Socialist ideals which only seek to undermine and destroy the United States Constitution and American Freedom.

    The OWS participants must define and distinguish themselves apart from the freeloading infiltrators that seek to hijack and corrupt the intent and purpose of their true OWS message(s).

      Morning Star, thank you so much for taking the time to post a comment and share your sincere feelings and incite. I appreciate it. Like you I also am very worried about big money that wants to manipulate/absorb/direct the OWS movement for private interests. Which is another reason I am doing this. I can make sure that the money goes to their direct needs. I can make sure it goes to the right people, the patriots out there. I do see your point, and I can feel your perspective. People like you and I can make sure that the movement is not usurped by destructive forces. Cheers and Solidarity!

      people try to co-opt and infiltrate movements all the time morning star. it doesn’t necessarily mean it is going to happen successfully or that they can actually take control and steer it the way they want to. I think they’re resisting it pretty well at this point

      Morning Star, to be a “legit” Occupier, you only need A) a commitment to non-violence, B) sharing the feeling of injustice at the current state of things, and C) willing to participate in the progression towards a better world. (For bonus points, D) a commitment to not use ad hominems.) We’re not ready to rule out any ideas for a better world just yet. Co-opting the movement is not possible due to the nature of its organization – that is, dynamic direct democracy. It can’t be done.

      I’m a libertarian socialist. Socialism comes in two flavors. One is increased government control (communism is the extreme case), the other is distributed citizen/worker control. I believe the concentration of power, whether by government or industry, will necessarily encroach on human freedom. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Participism for my suggestion on the future of the planet.

If it is signed into law, the Constitution is null and void, as our government will be in full violation of the contract it embodies. While it is unquestionably in our interests to retain the freedoms outlined in the Bill of Rights (thank you George Mason!), it may no longer be prudent to embrace a republic as the governmental form of the 21st century. Rather than cling to the old words of the founding fathers, we may find ourselves embracing their spirit and intentions… “In order to form a more perfect union”, and we can develop better ideas than they had, more appropriate to our world of instant communication.

      Or to quote George Washington, “The basis of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their Constitutions of Government.       This is not a government by or for the people any longer. Instead, it is by the elite and for the elite. It is time to exercise our ninth amendment rights: “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”

        I can appreciate all perspectives of the OWS participants. Although I do not agree with every action or position of the OWS – I most certainly defend the Constitutional and Civil Rights of OWS entities.

        The United States Constitution remains in tact and this is still a government for and by the people. Dumbing down manuvers have conned the people to the contrary and that there is nothing they can do about it. Many people have just simply given up. Now many are beyond fed up.

        The National Defense Authorization Act did not take away anything that has not already been given up upon or relinguished. The Law makers have perpetrated many frauds against the American people – period. The NDAA is not their first treasonous act and most assuredly will not be their last. They must be held accountable, judged and punished to the fullest extent our Law – not the laws they invent to protect themselves.

        It is our duty to defend the United States Constitution, not dismiss it, against all enemies – foreign and domestic.

    There is a collective apathy rooted in failures to recount the deeds of our history. Unfortunately, long term dumbing-down in societies have subjected many populations to repetitive condemnations.

    Denial or condescending dismissiveness is a step toward a path of futility and costly sufferance. We have been there, and in many ways, we are still doing that. It is evident that infiltration, opportunistic control, and manipulation of OWS is successfully happening now.

    Dare say I: We must stand up and walk in freedom now or kneel down and surrender our freedom forever.

      Morning Star-
      You are obviously very passionate and informed. Perhaps you might give me, and everyone who might read this a few examples? Examples of this statement,

      I think it would be a great service you could do for us. The more people who are aware of that which you are referring to, the better chance we have of thwarting it. So far, and this is only from my personal perspective, those who are really in the movement, in the camps, on the streets, occupying, are not being swayed by either politicians or big money interests. I have come across some stuff about Adbusters yes, but regardless, it has been my stance that so far the integrity of the OWS movement is sound, and holding.

    I have had the opportunity to assist a few of the OWS participants – OWSNY and OWSDC – access to medical assistance, food, clothing, temporary shelter – and each have very different perspectives on the many groups/representatives, integrity and future of OWS.

    It is important for me to mention that I assist Disabled Veterans with emergency needs. In like manner, I try to assist anyone God sends my way.

    The best advice I can offer to anyone is to remain vigilante in their pursuit for knowledge/education throughout their linear existence. Every lesson that is learned should be construable and applicable toward a foundation for the next lesson. Never assume that anyone knows everything about anything. Otherwise there may be a set up for disappointment or detriment.

    Gotta go for now, I have had a lot on my plate the past few days.

      Indeed, the problem of money is a complex one. I think about it daily. I am constantly being tested as to whether or not I believe Democracy and “Free Market” Capitalism, at least within a huge population vs a small one, can coexist without producing the results we are experiencing now.
      Are there powerful political/private/established interests trying to, if not commandeer, then steer the OWS movement, yes. I know it isn’t me.

      But money talks, and the public spoke. Last weekend they blew over 50 billion dollars on consumer crap, but how much did they give to their local OWS group? I know for dam sure the little one in my town is not being controlled by Adbusters, the democratic party, or the Koch brothers.

      Money talks, and right now the OWS movement really does not have much if any real money. New York raised a ton, but out of the hundreds of camps, how many you think have a surplus of money with which to produce positive results?They may have endorsements here and there, but no real big money. What if we gave it to them? By them I mean the men and women like me, and you, and the ones I watched on Livestreams in PA and CA last night.
